Description

Camembert has a rich, buttery flavour with earthy, mushroom-like undertones. As it ripens, it develops a deeper, more robust taste, balancing creamy, savoury notes with a subtle hint of tang. Its flavour is both delicate and complex, becoming more intense with age.

DRINKS

Saint Veran

This cheese is very creamy and buttery (sound familiar?). With a very subtle flavour we need a wine that will match the texture, without taking the flavour away making this Chardonnay perfect.

Pinot Noir

Due to the delicate flavour of this cheese, we need a light red, low in tannins to really bring the flavour of the cheese to the forefront. The fruity notes will also compliment the flavour.

PORT & DESSERT WINE

If in doubt recommend a glass of port or dessert wine.

Both of these are good all-rounders for a cheese board with different cheeses.
