DRINKS

Merlot

Merlot works best here, the rich nutty flavours of the Comte pair well with the fruitiness and tannin levels of the Merlot. The flavours work well together, both complementing each other.

Chardonnay

A Chardonnay with some depth works well here, it has enough body and richness to complement the butty and buttery flavours of the Comte, which also match the texture of the wine.

PORT & DESSERT WINE

If in doubt recommend a glass of port or dessert wine.

Both of these are good all-rounders for a cheese board with different cheeses.
