Minute steak is a staple dish in French cuisine. It’s quickly chargrilled to ensure a pink and juicy steak and paired with a flavourful garlic butter, accompanied by a fresh herb salad consisting of pickled shallots, chervil, and parsley. Served with a generous portion of golden, crispy frites.

1ptn Frites (120g Frozen Frites)
pinch of salt
10g Garlic butter
3g Pickled shallots
1g Fresh Chervil

Merlot
The cut of this steak needs a red wine that won’t be too heavy and overpower the flavour, the Merlot is light enough to work with the steak, so they both do each other justice in flavour and texture.

Minute steak is literally flashed in the pan and always served pink; this is a classic you will find in any French brasserie. We use sirloin for the steak which is a higher quality cut of beef, making this extra tasty.
