Fleurie is typically light, silky and supple, with characteristic florality and bright aromas of blueberries and red fruit. Fleurie has a big reputation outside of France, but strangely enough is not that well know within other regions of France itself. Jean Tete’s family has been producing wine since the beginning of the 19th century, a few kilometres from Beaujeu, the historical capital of Beaujolais. Tete’s Fleurie “La Bonne Dame” is the top wine he produces.
