Due to the depth of flavour and tannin this wine certainly has a lot of character. Not your traditional Bordeaux with the syrah and grenache grapes however this does give aromas of ripe black fruits and lots of oak from the ageing process. Corbières is an Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC) for wine in the Languedoc-Roussillon, and it is this region’s largest AOC, responsible for 46 per cent of the region’s AOC.
