Description

Joseph Drouhin's Chardonnay from Côte de Beaune AOC is a refined Burgundian gem. It boasts aromas of ripe orchard fruits and subtle florals, leading to flavors of citrus and white peach with a hint of oak spice. Balanced acidity and a creamy texture culminate in an elegant, lingering finish.

Joseph Drouhin, founded in 1880, is one of the most respected wine producers in Burgundy, known for its commitment to quality and tradition. The family has cultivated vineyards in some of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations for over a century, including in the revered Côte de Beaune region.

Food Recommendation

This is an elegant wine that has the classic characteristics of all other Chardonnays (low acidity and lots of creamy textures). This particular wine can stand up to more hearty dishes that are rich especially ones with chicken, meaty fish and even tender red meats.

Dishes that go particularly well:

  • Beef Cheek Bourguignon

  • Fish Parmentier

  • Poulet Breton Rotie (especially with the mushroom sauce)

  • Fillet Steak (with Béarnaise Sauce)
