Description

This wine is designed to be drunk when young to get the full complexity, pale in colour but high in acidity with lots of mineral, salty notes and a clean, crisp finish. Aromas of citrus, mineral and gooseberry match the flavours of the wine.

The “Sur Lie” emblem on the bottle, refers to the process of ageing the wine on the lees (the sediment left over from fermentation) for at least 6 months, which adds savoury, bready notes.

Food Recommendation

This white wine is beautifully crisp and acidic on the palate with lots of mineral qualities. Fresh and crisp this wine is enjoyed by itself (especially on a hot day), but it does go best with oily fish, poultry and salads (especially with oil based dressings). The high acidity in the wine works well against oily foods to cleanse the palate.

Dishes that go particularly well:

  • Tuna Nicoise

  • Salad Maison

  • Calamari
